Here are 6 major things to consider when picking the right photographer for you!

1) DO YOU LIKE THEIR CURRENT WORK?! Start with checking out their portfolio/current work. The best indicator of future images are past images. Consistency in a photographer is a great quality.

2) POSING STYLE- Are you more into looking at the camera and smiling or up for something a little more adventurous, like family dance parties?

3) EDITING STYLE- Every Photographer prides themselves on creating their own unique editing style. Some examples of these are dark and moody, light and airy, saturated (colorful) muted (trendy) Clean (classic) While some Photographer's will retouch every blemish other's may not.

4) PACKAGE OPTIONS- Maybe you like having 100's of photos to choose from or maybe you find that overwhelming and prefer to have someone do that heavy lifting for you.

5) PHOTO DELIVERY- Prints vs Digitals and how long are you expected to wait for gallery delivery? Some Photographer's deliver galleries quickly while other's may take 4-6 weeks. Always ask your photographer what their current turn around time is!

6) PHOTOGRAPHER'S PERSONALITY- Every Photographer has their own process of creating their art. Some have a strict schedule full of go to poses, other's like things to unfold more organically. They may be more serious and organized or a comedian who keeps you laughing your entire session. There really is no right or wrong way to be a photographer, just difference. Make sure your personalities mesh!
